Explore the learning platform, community and app, at no charge.

  • Access is simply removed at the end of the trial period.

  • Study the reasoning behind the NatureTot System.

  • See the value of a simple life cycle as a field of practice.

  • Our first two modules introduce you to the NatureTot System and how it fits into the prepared environment. We take a closer look at why we should reconsider the child’s access to nature, and why it matters to the child and our society.

  • I do not know much about plants or nature. Can I use this system?

Absolutely! We will provide you with the tools and the knowledge needed to implement the system. Your children will be learning incredible insights on nature, even if your nature knowledge is limited. One of our goals is for this to help any educator bring nature into their classroom today! Nature, always, is the teacher. Sometimes it is best if we let nature teach and guide the child, stepping back to allow this to happen.

We have a beautiful outdoor space already. Why do you think I need this?

How wonderful that you have an outdoor space! Even more so if the Casa child has free access to this space in the morning work period. Clearly, the NatureTot system does not replace going outside and experiencing nature! What the system does, and which is tricky in any outdoor space, is provide a deeply engaging and independent experience of nature-cycles to the child under six. I think that this would be valuable to any educator, with or without outdoor nature access.

What are the opportunities for the child to repeat activities?

The NatureTot system is designed and built to provide independence, spontaneity and repetition. Its size allows for multiple repetitions of an activity daily. Although there may sometimes be limitations on one exercise in order to manage the living cycle (plants may only be watered once, for example), there are several trays to be watered. It must be noted as well, that there are variations on repetitions of a basic practical life exercise, for example the spooning of seeds, soil, or eggshells, or the many different variations of watering included in the complete system.

    What is the NatureTot Community?

The NatureTot Community helps you provide nature experiences in your prepared environment. It is an online group community that accessed within the course platform.

    • Purchasing any of the cabinet products gives you 6 months free access to the community.
    • Purchasing the NatureTot System Masterclass gives you 3 months free access to the community.
    • Access to the community (and the course) after these periods is $9/month.

There will be 4 live sessions available in the community in the fall and again in the winter semester, to assist you with implementation of the system.
